BIRMINGHAM, AL— This past Tuesday, Jamie Wilson, 65, and frequent church-goer and ShadeRoom commenter, came to terms with the fact that she might not just be a big fan of society progressing. The revelation came after Wilson said out loud, “What is this world coming to?” and realized she’d been saying the refrain for nearly every year of her long ass life—and that each time it was in response to a new advancement in society.

“Maybe, over the course of six decades, I may have misinterpreted some things that were actually good as signals of the oncoming Apocalypse,” mused Wilson, reflecting on when she disparaged gay rights, women’s rights, and sliced bread.

“Nah,” she swiftly followed up, before returning to comparing gay people on Netflix to Biblical villains committed to the destruction of God’s covenant.
